Homebound and Hospitalized Services

Homebound and hospitalized services provide continuity of educational services for students with medical conditions that prevent them from physically attending school during the school year. The student's inability to attend school due to a medical condition must be certified by the student's licensed attending physician.

In order to be eligible for homebound or hospitalized services, an enrolled student must be certified by their attending physician, hospital, or licensed treatment facility, as having a medical condition that requires the student to be hospitalized or confined to the home during regular school hours for a period longer than five (5) consecutive school days.

We encourage you to reach out to your building administrator or the Student Services office with any questions you might have or if you believe your student meets the eligibility criteria for homebound or hospitalized services – we are here to support your child and family.
